Birth Rate is the number of births per 1000 people per year.

Can you explain on this, preferbly with an example.

Assume a country of 100,000 people. In a given year, 10,000 babies are born. That would be 10,000 births per 100,000 people per year.

Break it down to 10,000/100,000 = 10/1000 or 10 births per 1000 people per year
