sources used or considered in preparing a work, sometimes called a reference list.

Citation formats vary, but an entry for a book in a bibliography usually contains the following information:

author(s)

title

publisher

date of publication

An entry for a journal or periodical article usually contains:

author(s)

article title

journal title

volume

pages

date of publication

A bibliography may be arranged by author, topic, or some other scheme. Annotated bibliographies give descriptions about how each source is useful to an author in constructing a paper or argument. These descriptions, usually a few sentences long, provide a summary of the source and describe its relevance.

Example

Smith H. P. & Tutters K. "Does Santa Exist? - A modern review"

Mills & Boon 2007

Schools and other institutions of learning often have their own 'style sheets' which set out the manner in which these things are to be done. Sometimes different faculties/departments will have their own 'style sheets'. Two better known systems endorsed and/or adapted are those from The University of Chicago and the Modern Language Association of America. The American Psychological Association has its own structure.

You would probably have to ask at school/college for this as different institutions and courses require it in different ways.
