for example the question says
find points of intersection if any of the given pair of curves.
y=3x+8 and y= -x+3

I cant remember how I start out. I know I have to graph but do I set y to zero do I factor its been a while since I did it help please

Substitute the equations into one another:

3x + 8 = -x + 3

4x = -5

x = -5/4

using first equation:

y = 3(-5/4) + 8 = -15/4 + 32/4 = 17/4

check using second equation:

17/4 = 5/4 + 12/4

17/4 = 17/4 check

The point of intersection is (-5/4, 17/4)

HI

you can find a point of intersection by making a small table to see what Y would equal to,if X was 3 and so on

then you plot the table on the graph.

I HOPE IT HELPED.
