In the economy, competition is a brawl between companies trying to achieve the greatest profit. The competitor competes by persuading and basically kissing up to the consumers. This is a good thing perhaps for the customers, for instance the retailer Wal-Mart went as far as offering to match their prices to the lower prices of any competitor. In the effect of Wal-Mart’s new policy, saves customers over 2500 dollars a year stated by Wal-Mart’s news blog. Many retailers can’t compete with matching prices; they simply can’t afford to do it. Some retailers may try to copy Wal-Mart’s policy and most company just keep it frank by offering policy they can afford, like increasing sales, improving customer service, buying endorsements and advancing their products. Obviously the customers benefit the most from the brawl of the competitors.
In the world of sports, competition is everything. Whether its basketball, baseball, football, or golf everyone wants to be the biggest competitor. The biggest competitor gets paid the most money, for example Miami heat offer Lebron James a 110 million dollars, 6 year contract. That money may prevent him and his children from ever going hungry, may prevent Lebron’s wife from ever having ratchet hairdo and keep his whole family happy. Beating someone in a game can bring the player some confidence, some structure, some drive and some motivation. Competition can bring a lot of money to viewers who bet on a sports team. Gambling is illegal but everybody does it anyway, it simply brings people excitement and puts free money in their pockets. Sports competition may cause conflicts; this is a good thing because now the person knows that that player is a sore loser.
Competition can help a person’s life. Everybody is exposed to some form of competition from the earliest state of childhood. They compete with siblings for their parent's affections, they compete with their classmates for the teacher's attention, and they compete in sports or academic events. In adolescence, people continued to compete for college scholarships or spots in an athletic team. At some point in life everyone would compete for the attentions of members of the opposite sex. Competition in relationships determines the loyalty in it, for example comedian Kevin Hart became famous and dumps his wife/mother of two for a younger and more attractive woman. That type of competition for Kevin Harts’s wife experience determined Kevin’s loyalty towards her. This is a good thing for everyone, Kevin hart and his new girlfriend finds new love; his ex wife has a chance to find a new and taller boyfriend while collecting alimony. Further in relationships, competition keeps the two lovers behaved and simply keeps the relationship interesting. When people are in a relationship, and a smarter, more attractive, more interesting person come along and gets introduce to one of the mate the other mate may improve their self to make sure no one can compete. This is good for both, self confidence in themselves and each other.
