what is periodical source? can periodical sources can be from newspaper or any kind of article? and my teacher told me to use use a minimum of 3 sources in your paper 1 which must be a book, journal or periodical from your own research. so does this mean that i have to use each of 1 book, journal and periodical? or can i use either book,journal or periodical?
i could not find any journal article so can i use 2 book and 1 periodical source? is it fine?

A periodical or journal is most often a source that is specific to a certain field. It sounds to me like you teacher wants to make sure you have at least one real source that has been written and reviewed by people who know what they are talking about in the specific area rather than just websites that anyone may have written. I think 2 books and a periodical is a good start.

that sounds fine to me. and yes a periodical is usually an article from a newspaper, but it can really be any ARTICLE. it's hard to find journals unless you have access to databases from your school. never use wikipedia, anyone can add info to the entry and it's not always correct.
