1.

x - 4/5 = x + 6/7

x-x = 6/7 + 4/7

0 = 10/7

so

D - no solution

2.

1 hour has 60 minutes so

20 : 60

this can be simplified by

dividing by 20 so

20/20 : 60/20

1:3

so D is the answer

3.

1/(x-3) +6 + 7

1/(x-3)=1

1= 1(x-3)

1=x-3

1+3 = x

x+4

so the answer is

actually A

(The other answerer is wrong

on this one.)

The answers take some pretty basic math to figure out, or you can tell by just looking.

1. D. No solution

There is no possible way that any number minus (4/5) can be equal to that same number + (6/7).

2. D. 1:3

There are 60 minutes in an hour. The ratio of minutes is 20:60. The fraction 20/60 can be reduced to 1/3.

3. A. 4

6 + 1 = 7. Therefore you have to make the fraction part of the problem equal to 1. 4 minus 3 is equal to 1, and 1/1 is = 1. Which makes the problem (1+6) = 7, which checks out.

it is going to possibly be c because of the fact formula to discover slope of a line is (y2-y1) over (x2 - x1) it quite is 12 - 8 over -6 - -6, the 1st one is 4, the 2d you replace to -6 +6, which leaves you with 0, and you will't have 4 out of 0, so this is undefined.
