It's for chemistry class. I'm not quite sure what "level off" means.

There's a graph. It represents a function. It increases until a certain point, and then it stops increasing.

Think of x as the input. Its represented on the left to right line. Let's say that we're only concerned with x greater than or equal to zero. Y is the output. Its the result of when x is input into the function.

Think of this function: x is the age of the person. y is the number of bicycle accidents that they have per year. The data is from American citizens in 2007. The graph probably increases up to about age 14, and then levels off or drops off. Why? People over 14 ride bikes less, and are more careful and responsible, so they have less accidents.

So the graph looks like this:

. ----- xxxxxxxxx

. ---- xxxx

. --- xx

. --- x

. -- x

. -- x

. - x

. - x

My drawing isn't very good, but the point is that the graph moves up and to the right, and then it moves mostly to the right.

Graphs usually have a line that goes up or down to show the differences of whatever is the subject of the graph..When the line doesn't go up or down, but stays level between two points on the graph it indicates that there has been no change in the values depicted by the graph...For instance, a graph about investing money would go up when there is money made and go down when there is money lost..when money is not being made or lost the graph would show a straight or "level" line....

Dude... All that in our bag? Don't you have a locker?! Jeez man... If you have a locker then you need to put away at least half of that stuff! can understand carrying around: - Makeup - Hairbrush - iPod and phone - Money/bank card/bus pass - Keys - Your "personal" stuff - Water bottle But you should have a locker to put all the rest of that stuff in! I'm a master at packing stuff haha I could make it so you wouldn't have so many damn products and such... Put the deodorant and any other stuff relating to your workout stuff and put it in the locker, same with the pens, school books/binders... Honestly I don't think that you need a comb just for your bangs or to have everything put into different bags... Here's what I do what my stuff tho: - Wallet, gum, pills, "personal" stuff, pens, pencils, my calculator (occasionally if I need it), iPod w/ my headphones, phone and chapstick... All in a tiny bag, about the size of a lapdog haha - Take a water bottle with me - Everything else goes in my box at school - Oh I also bring my laptop in a computer case I'm just getting a backpack for this year cus I'm gonna work out at the gym down the street for my PE credits, so I'll put my shoes in my box like everyone else and take clothes with me. I pretty much keep everything in my box tho like books, notebooks, textbooks, binders, random stuff I don't need for the day... But yea next year I'll be able to have my car to put stuff in so basically I won't have anything with me...

Let's say you're taking a series of temperature measurements every minute during the chemical reaction and notice that the temperature keeps rising. Then after awhile, the temperature remains constant on each successive measurement.

If you plotted each point and connected them with a line, you would see that the each point would be higher than the previous point and when you got to the measure where the temperature remained constant, you would have a horizontal line connecting all the points. The horizontal line would be where it "leveled off"
