Hi
So as I said, it's my first assignment. It is on Sustainability.
I have to pick a natural resource then describe it and tell what threatens the sustainability of this resource and also where, how much and what uses does this resource have?
-What actions are being taken by groups or organisations to make sure the resource is sustainable?
-What actions can individuals take to ensure the sustainability of this resource?
-How effective are there actions?
I also have to write an opinion using the info I've gathered:
-Include in this opinion advice to the world about the use of this resource. How can we use this resource more sustainably.
- You need to persuade the world so justify with reasons why we need to use the resources sustainably.

I just pretty much need a good head-start. That's all. I need a good resource that is not being very commonly discussed but cannot be neglected either. I was thinking of doing this assessment on Tigers seeing as there are only about a 1000 of them left. But a normal person like me can't really do anything to protect those tigers somewhere in Africa or whatever.
Topics like rain forests, oceans and things like these are used by half of my class.
I want to do something unique and nice for my first assignment. To make a good impression.

Thanks a lot. :)

First off, tigers are not a sustainable resource, they are an endangered species. There is a difference. Secondly, keep it simple.

ASK YOUR LIBRARIAN. I cannot stress this anymore. they are literally resource WIZARDS. that is what they are trained for.

Try oil. They are constantly used for car fuel, factories, etc. and are slowly being used up. By 2050, it is estimated that there may be no more oil.
