I'll keep it as simple as possible but remember age and metabolism plays an important role. Anyway it is important to exercise and diet, however, if you just want to lose weight and not necessarily for fitness, then your diet will play a bigger role than your exercise in losing weight. Try to decrease what you eat during the meal prior to you going to bed. That's as simple as i can give it.
