I am doing a school assignment which requires I write a 500 word min. essay on the social, economic and cultural benefits of immigration. I have a fair idea but it's late here, my internet search has turned up fairly useless and i could really use some good examples! Please and thank you!

Ok so.....

Social & Cultural;

The Capital cities of Australia carry the largest proportion of the population so the cities are naturally multicultural and diverse in nature.

Because the continent was relatively barren and untouched before British Settlement in 1788, just about every part of Australia has been touched by importation from another country.

It is a Global country where communications are first class throughout the country.

Economic:

The exchange rate is lower in Australia than the Euro or $US so setting up in Australia can be affordable to more immigrants.

We don't drink recycled water. They are building a desalination plant in Sydney, but all water restrictions were relaxed a year ago. The toughest thing about the restrictions was washing your car with a bucket.

The cities don't suffer from drought as much as the rural areas and guess where most of the population is? Same goes for the dangerous animals? Remember the adage if you've never heard of it then you are usually afraid of it.

Hello,

The land of Oz has some serious water shortage issues. They've a tremendous drought on their hands. This is a result of years of govt. mismanagement. They should have taken corrective measures more than a decade ago. Now, they are all going to pay the price for allowing private interests to steal available water for over planting & the like. The large cities like Sidney account for most of the population. They now drink recycled sewage as potable water. That's right. They are drinking pee. This imperfect, drastic measure, has cost tons of money to implement. Who do you think is going to get to foot the bill for that? The tax payers, datz hoo. You immigrate there, & you'll get to suffer economically as well. Oz also has the largest concentration of deadly poisonous creatures on the planet (ten of them: snakes, spiders, & fish). It's where the Mad Max trilogy was filmed. You might want to watch those before you go...
