One of the main reasons why I think racism prevails among African Americans, is because children's parents talk to them about civil rights, slavery, or how African American's were discriminated against, and they might begin to form a slight dislike for the race that inflicted that pain upon thier race.

The reason why I think racism still exists among whites (mainly southern whites) is because African Americans achieved so much and some of them have become more successful than them.

But, just talking about racism in general without breaking them into groups, racism prevails because of what is passed down by word of mouth by parents of races of both blacks and whites.

The images in the media, such as rap music videos may cause other people of other races such as Asians to form a image of all blacks, and they may think that most blacks are all gangsters, therefore causing dislike for them

But, I think that as more and more of the people that lived during the civil rights era die, most of the racism will die with them also.

there is not likely a lot to declare on the region without delving right into a deeper subject, a lot greater worth of an entire study paper. the rationalization maximum of Democrats voted against Civil Rights in the early '60s is as a results of the reality that the social gathering became into in transition. The transition began throughout FDR's administration while the social gathering began to flow faraway from the somewhat Racist dispositions of the previous South, Civil conflict era Democrat social gathering. Up till the '60s, while the recent Liberal Democratic social gathering began pushing matters like Civil Rights, the previous Democrats, or Dixiecrats, began to fracture faraway from the social gathering. The candidacy of George Wallace as an self sustaining in 1968 is the main obtrusive occasion of this schism. some vestiges of the previous Democrat social gathering nevertheless exist, like Robert Byrd, yet in many cases, the realignment is finished. The Republican and Democrat events somewhat resemble their nineteenth century predecessors. in short, a greater robust study paper may be written on the subject remember of Political Realignment customarily, particularly than this short symptom of Political Realignment.

Well...you might take a slightly different look at this if you intend to be intellectually honest about it. Our goal should be to be fair and color blind. But that simply does not happen.

Look at government jobs....there is only one group that is discriminated against these days....white anglo saxon males....face it...federal employment policy says that the selection authority gets rewarded if he or she ...more often she these days...selects a minority..and must justify selection of a wasm. If you doubt this...take a look around your social security office......

racism is a thought, not commony an action. when it becomes an action, it becomes prejudice. stereotype is an idea as well.
