The term “social networking” is the grouping of individuals into specific groups. “Social networking” can be used to explain a number of things. Today “social networking” commonly refers to activities that are carried out within specific online services that provide free space and software tools, which allow users to create networks of people and allows individuals to create profiles. Social networking websites, such as MySpace, Facebook, and Bebo allow users to create their own profile by adding personal data.

Social networking has made a huge impact around the world. Social Networking gave many individuals a mean of communication when countries where in a desperate time of need. Social networking gave protesters a way to communicate during the overthrow of the government in Egypt.
