Finishing up my report for summer classes and I was wondering if it is required to have my name, teacher's name, class title, and date on a Work's Cited page.

Do I even need a title that is centered for a works cited page?

I know every college is different but MLA format for the works cited is the same for most.

Thanks

Are you using your name, teacher's name, class title, and date in a header throughout the paper?

Normally in MLA you'd have only your name and the page number in the header, and this would continue through on to the Works Cited page. The only time the teacher's name, class title, and date would appear would be on the first page. Note that MLA does not require a separate title page.

I say "normally" because some instructors will say to follow the MLA style, but also ask for some special formatting based on their preference.

The only thing you would centre on the Works Cited page is "Works Cited." No other title is needed.

Hope this helps.

no, that information does not belong on the work cited page. It goes on the title page, which should be the first page of your essay.
