The teacher should help regardless if stressed out or not. But if want to stress he/she doesn't have to then just say that.Maybe try, "If you have the time, will you help me with this problem? If not, that is ok"

Don't start out by telling your teacher how stressed out s/he is. Just ask, politely, if you could please get a little help because there is something you aren't clear on.

That's it.

It's near the end of semester, so your teacher (like you) has the summer ahead to rest and recuperate.

Just remember to say 'thank you' afterwards.

Your teacher should help you. If they're too stressed out to do that, then logically, they should be on stress leave or something. If you're that concerned tho, maybe you should look into getting a tutor.

Just tell your teacher that you realize he or she is very busy, but that you really need some extra help. maybe he/she could meet you for an extra hour or so to answer some questions.

Don't worry about it so much, teachers are there to help you learn and do well!!!

Dear Teacher,

Not that you don't help, but would you please strongly help me with my work? If you are busy, I understand that you cannot help.

Ask her if she ever tutors students. And if she doesn't, can she recommend someone who will tutor you.
